The new courtyard space was designed to be the premier outdoor space on campus. This space, at the heart of the campus, will accommodate groups from 1700 to small classes. The design team used 3D modeling and shadow studies to help the design committee visualize the preferred plan.

Cambridge Community College, Cambridge, MN
The master plan develops the main campus at the edge of a plateau above the Rum River, and allows for future expansion. Around the perimeter walk, the grounds were restored to prairie with fields of wildflowers. Construction was closely monitored to preserve an existing grove of bur oaks. 1996.
College of St. Benedict, Benedicta Arts Center, St. Joseph, MN
Principal-in-charge responsible for the site design for a new courtyard as part of the new Arts Center development. The underlying geometry of the courtyard design is based on the arrangement of doors in one of the original building facades, and the pattern in the wood ceiling go of the adjacent space. Visually compelling, the space serves multiple programmatic functions including fine art display, seating for small groups and individuals, and large group receptions. 2008.
